We have been diligently cleaning and dejunking all areas of our house lately. Multiple loads have been taken to our local donations store, and we finally switched out our winter clothes, revealing one of my favorite pieces that Sam made a few years ago. This coat rack is mounted in our living room/entryway.
Sam laid one piece of wood over the other, and attached some rusty gold to hang hats and coats.
I affectionately look at this piece as an old pirate ship plank where a cannon ball breached the hull. Hey, why not?
I find the jagged edges characteristically round where a cannon ball may fit perfectly.
We have no idea what these L shaped rusty gold pieces were, but they have little green wires attached to them. We salvaged these from an old army-navy junk yard… Do you have any idea?
The lower rusty gold fixtures are large bolts:
I really dig it.

What a great idea!!!
