Apothecary #3

Well, the third apothecary is finished! (It was most of the way finished a couple weeks ago, but I kept telling Sam just keep doing what you are motivated to do, so other projects took priority!)

The top on this one lifts off; It’s a somewhat hidden box, but not quite as inconspicuous as the hidden drawer in the molding on Apothecary #2.

And the amazing feature I talked about in my Minwax Polyshades review?

Leather drawer bottoms! These drawers really look top notch with this leather. I’m loving this!

As for the drawer boxes, we sprayed them with Bombay mahogany Minwax Polyshades spray cans. It took 5 coats and 4 cans of this stuff for them to turn out decent. All in all, even though the process was a joke, I love the color.

We are still waiting on some drawer pulls to get here! They must be coming from China…

Does anyone have any tips or insight on decor to set around this piece?
